You will lose more body fat eating protein and fat (don’t eat protein alone) than not eating AT ALL. To lose weight fast eat all you want but nothing but meat, eggs, healthy oils, mayo, butter and half an avocado a day (you’ll need added potassium). Keep your fat percentage high. Adding in green vegetables & some cheese will continue weight loss but at a slower pace.
If you starve yourself, your body will freak out and will want to store every ounce in case it doesn’t get nourished again. You need to give it adequate nourishment so it doesn’t slow your metabolism down to adjust for lower calories.
Simple carbohydrates (sugar, flour, bread, cereal, pasta, potatoes, rice) triggers insulin which can store the calories you eat into fat. The more protein you eat the more the fat burning hormone glucagon is released. The more carbohydrate you eat the more the fat storage hormone insulin is released.
High insulin levels unbalance other hormones. Controlling your insulin level will balance out other hormones & allow human growth hormone (HGH) to be produced naturally so you will gain lean muscle even without exercise. Any exercise will greatly increase your muscle mass with high HGH levels.
Reducing body fat and increasing muscle mass will have you in awesome shape in no time. Good luck!
I lost 25 pounds in two weeks last fall and have not gained it back. For medical reasons I had to restrict yeast in my diet. I wasn’t trying to loose weight but it just seemed to fall off. Everyday I’d get on the scale and be so excited and amazed. I still need to loose about fifty pounds and keep telling myself that I’m going back on the diet but it’s not an easy one. If you’re dedicated though here’s what I did:
First you have to cut out all yeast out of your diet. It’s in everything, so read all your labels. It’s even in boullioun and licorice. Crazy. You also have to cut out sugar in all forms for at least two weeks, so no fruit. The exception to that is one glass of freshly squeezed juice in a day. One glass won’t hurt sugar-wise and the benefits of the juice are worth it. No dairy- or at least cut back drastically.
Also drink lots and lots of water. I started each day with a salt water flush and ended the day with a cup of mint tea. It helps clean out your system. Then I took 2 Yeast Redux pills a day that you can get at your health food store.
The idea behind the diet is that yeast has built up in my system causing me to have chronic kidney infections. But a yeast problem can manifest itself in lots of ways- the girly infections, cravings that seem uncontrollable, headaches, weakness, etc. You can Google this and find lots of helpful info.
Those who do this seriously aren’t trying to loose weight but how can you not? There’s still lots to eat though. Meat and veggies, rice and beans, etc.
