You already know this. Cut out the carbs. It will make a difference. Focus on upper body work outs combined with light aerobic work outs until you can work your legs again.
Whatever you decide to do… calorie input vs engergy output is all that controls weight. so you have to have one up and the other down, and you loose weight. Depending on your age, this will happen faster to the young as their metabolism is higher.
