Lose 25 Pounds FAQ:


I am 18 years old, 163 lbs, 5′7″ tall. According to my BMI, I am in the “overweight” category. I would LOVE to slim down for summer and be able to wear shorts and a bikini…so starting today, January 21st 08, I want to lose 25 pounds by May 1st, 08.
Any suggestions on eating, how much exercise and when, how to curb cravings, etc…? Anything you have would be so helpful!

the American population, for instance, generally eats WAY more than they need to. drink rooibos tea to curb your appetite, it helps you lose weight. that, and green tea. no need to go into fancy weight loss supplements.

losing weight is mostly a psychological thing. possibly genetic components for some. many people maintain obesity in order to ‘protect’ themselves.

if i were you, i would find a counsellor, since it all starts with the mind, on a daily basis. then i would watch the biggest loser in the evening once a week, then toss out all the junk food in the house (it’s best for everyone) and then buy all whole grains, fruits, veggies, and low-fat dairy. then push yourself at the gym. (according to your physical health).

it’s all about mind power and psychological health.

Loosing weight fast is always an unhealthy thing.
There are many diets who tell you that you can loose a lot of weight in no time. And it is working, but you are doing no good to your body. And there’s also the Jojo-effect.
The best thing to loose and hold a healthy weight is healthy food, less sugar, lots of drinking water, and sports.
Diet has to begin in your head. And you already started to think about your nutrition. That’s an important step. It is too easy just to make a magazine-diet for 2-3 weeks and loose some weight. But it will come back soon again. If you are over-thinking your nutrition and activity, you will have a constantly good result. Isn’t that much better and healthier than a crash-diet ?
