lose 25 pounds
Lose 25 Pounds FAQ:

I am 5′ 9 1/2″, weight 162, 17 years old, male, medium buid, looking for a nice girl haha jk, well all of that and I’m taking in 2400 calories a day (for any hard workout you offer). I have like 16 percent body fat.

I am active and just want to know a few tips that you know of or have used to lose weight. Mainly an estimate of calories to be burned (by exercising) running, or jump roping (things that dont cost hardly anything) I have one 20 pound dumbell, and a treadmill, and a punching bag, and a jump rope

I’m able to exercise any amount of time a day, I have time and I will do the hard work just nothing to exagerrated. Please tell me how many i should burn.

thanks
i want to see my six-pack, and i do got like around 28 pounds of fat, and i wanna lose some muscle also (over did working out) (chest too big)

If you are a male, 5′9 1/2″ and weigh 162, that is not big at all. 137 pounds for a male would be extremely unhealthy and skinny. Honestly, it will be extremely difficult to lose 25 pounds in 3 months especially exercising and being thin to begin with. 1 mile on the treadmill = approx 100 calories burned or every 10 minutes of cardiovasular activity (running/jump rope) will burn 100 calories. There are 3500 calories in a pound. Your weight, height, calorie consumption, and exersice frequency sounds perfect and you should not try to lose any weight.

Well, there are 3500 calories in a pound. I would calculate your basal metabolic rate to see “the number of calories you’d burn if you stayed in bed all day,” number of calories your body already burns to stay alive. Then, factor that in with your calorie intake and how much you exercise each week.

Here’s a basal metabolic rate calculator:

Here’s a fitness calculator to see how many calories you burn in a particular activity?

Hope this helps a little bit…

Just as a small note before some advice - For your height and age you are not overweight and losing this much weight will probably make you look very skinny and gaunt. Instead of losing weight, I would say just try to maintain your diet and start muscle toning and strengthening rather than weight loss exercise. You are an ideal weight for your height and build.

Ok brace yourself. To lose 1 pound of fat you need to burn 3500 calories!!! And i’m not exaggerating. Recommended daily calorie intake for males is 2500 so you might benefit by reducing the amount of calories slightly say between 2000 - 2200. Drink lots of water!!!! To lose weight sensibly and in a healthy way you want to look at dropping 2-3 pounds per week. In three months this comes to approx. 24-36 lbs weight loss. Chances are though you will lose a little more than this each week if you exercsie daily and eat sensibly.
Try this website for calorie burning exercise.

Please just think about what your goal really is though- is it to lose weight or is it to shape your body?? The solutions to these two questions have very different results.

losing that much weight would make you really skinny, but if that is how much you want to lose in three months you would need to burn 3x as many calories as you took in. running and jump roping are good but they are high leg and joint stress exercises. try a cardio workout . get a taebo video.
