my weight is extremely too much!!! so i was going to start working out from next weeek, so i was wondering how long it would take to lose 25 pounds? and also if a stationary bike helps in losing weight??

Any aerobic exercise will burn fat. So yes, a stationary bike will help.

How long it will take partially depends on your height and weight.
Generally, 2 pounds a week is the maximum so if you hit that EVERY week (which is unlikely) that would be 12.5 weeks, or, a little over 3 months. A more realistic goal would be 4-5 months.

To do this, try to burn 500 extra calories a day through exercise and cut 500 calories out of your diet.
That’s a 1000 calories daily deficit which amounts to 7000 calories a week, or two lbs (3500 calories is a pound). You probably won’t hit that EVERY day/week but if you aim for it you should come close and reach your goal within 5 months.

Just make sure you eat healthily and avoid eating out, processed foods, and so-called “healthy” TV dinners. They really aren’t all that healthy and the sodium in them causes water retention and will fight against your goal.

If you were to start dieting and exercising, you could easily lose 25 lbs in 3 months, maybe sooner if you really work at it. Just replace the crappy foods with better choices– veggies, fruits, whole grains, lean proteins, etc… and workout.
The bike sounds good– any kind of cardio: biking, running, walking, dancing… those all burn fat.

Good luck! A healthy weight loss would be 2 pounds per week, so it would take about 12 weeks, 4 days; in dream land! You need to be dedicated, and really want to lose it and get yourself healthier. So, again, good luck! I would guess the bike would help…

it depends on what you’re doing, if you’re making your diet healthier, how often you’re working out, your metabolism…ect ect

and a stationary bike will help if you do it often enough and keep your heart rate up. cardio burns fat! try searching for stationary bike exercises for ideas!

if you eat healthily and exercise 3-4 times per week (for over 40 minutes) I think it will take no more than 4 months to lose 25lbs. However if you drink alcohol this will take a lot longer.
