im 5′3 and weigh about 154 pounds i want to lose 20 to be about 133 pounds. i calclated my bmi and it was 27 which means i am overweight… what can i do to lose it?

im going on holiday in june 19th 2009 and want to look good but i cant afford the gym. any help please!

Eat healthily
Drink water
And exercise a lot.

diet , and buy a pilates dvd , or an abs work out.

running, crunchs, jump rope, if you got stairs climb those. Anything to get you moving and sweating.

as for eating no soda, chips, or anything high in sugar, or carbs.

eat a well balanced diet with proper portions. drink water. get at least 30 minutes of exercise every day. these sites will help you figure out how much of what.

eat healthy, exercise for like thirty minutes a day…there is this group, i think its free and its called food addicts (i think theyre in every state)…u meet kinda like an AA meeting lol and they give u these strict rules but it works and since u dont need to lose that much, youll be good in like three months…for example the first month, they make u cut out all flour, sugar, and bread. My mom was 200+ and lost 26 lbs in like a month in a half

weight watchers! you can eat normal foods but the point system keeps track of it and you can’t go over a certain amount of points each day. its the easiest diet out there. and try cardio over to every other day. do a few sit ups and lunges and pushups. you’l be thin and toned in no time

OK no one is going to like this and i will probably get loads of thumbs down but. i had my second baby 11 months ago and in 6 months i went from 15 1/2 stone to 10 1/2 bare in mind that this is a drastic diet not advised by docs or health proffessionals.
I had fruit for breakfast
Soup for dinner
Low calorie weight watchers meal no more than 300 cals for tea
Snack on fruit only and drink water.
Sit up and toning exercises at home for 1 hour a day 7 days a week
it will work but like i said it is crazy and you will be tired and irritable but its the only quick way to do it. also just to add as soon as you start eating a ‘normal’ diet again beware you will put it back on as quick as it came off i have stabalised at just over 10 1/2 stone now. good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey there,

Well… as far as losing weight is concerned, there is no easy way or a shortcut.Even if there was, its for sure not a good idea.. anyways, coming to your question, losing 20 pounds is surely achievable provided you change your diet cutting down on your carbs ( potatoes, rice, sweets, juices and fat (cheese, milk pizza’s etc ) and eat more of protein (Beans, soy milk, fish etc) and fibre ( just include some nice cereal brk fast with good fibre content). You can go for high protein bars like metrex ( but not more than 2 per day) and drink a lot of water.

A li’l exercise like brisk walk for half hr to 45 mts or swimming should be a great idea. This will help you tone up your muscles while the diet helps you your excess fat.
