Lose 25 Pounds FAQ:


♥ I have 1 hour a day to exercise, and my mom makes supper, so I can’t control that- but I’ll try to eat only one small helping and no dessert. What are some exercises I could do, or any other tips or ways to help? Thanks:) ♥
and by March I mean any time in march, not just the beginning

well, the obvious answer is don’t eat food. Except supper, and desert once a day is ok. And swim in your free time if you can.

Start Colored diet - it will shock your body at the beginning. It is healthy and plenty of fruits and vegetables there. Exercises are good.

that would push it, but I would set a more resonable and healthy goal, and then if you end up losing 25 it is all the more healthy - try calorie-count.com they give GREAT information!

It depends on how heavy you are now and your age. If you’re young and you exercise, you should be able to get a lot accomplished with an hour a day! There are some great exercise tapes and DVDs out there; go for something aerobic. Don’t starve yourself either. You can probably lose a good amount of weight - how much, I don’t know. But if you do toning exercises like Pilates as well, it will look like you’ve lost even more.

Exercise at any opportunity you can, drink water and eat as much fruit and veg as possible.

If you get a membership at a gym, then you have plenty of options. Otherwise, you could start running every day, so some bodyweight exercises (Pushups, body squats, lunges, crunches, etc.). If you have a bicycle, that is an excellent workout as well. You could swim if you have the opportunity to. There are plenty of exercises that you could do. In addition, try to eat 5 or 6 small balanced meals a day, by balanced I mean with carbs, proteins, and fats (not all fats are bad).

People think that running on the treadmill for 6 hours straight will help them. It won’t. In fact, it has more affect then effect..

I would walk at a fast page with the treadmill on incline for 30 minutes.. twice a day. To burn off some extra calories, I would use some 4 ibs weights while walking. Even though you cannot control what you have for dinner.. you may be able too. Talk to your mom and ask her to make healthier food .. It shoul be a problem. Good luck! :-D

dont skip meals. Eat breakfast lunch and dinner. It wont help to starve yourself. Try to combine foods so that they dont have alot of calories. Like meat with salad, instead of meat and potatoes. Lay off the bread, drink alot of water. 25 pounds is alot but you might be able to loose alot of it by March.
Try to eat your meals at the same time every day. When you get really hungry dont sit and starve eat a fruit and drink some water.

Yes it’s possible but i’d skip the carbs in the evening meal and have extra veg/salad and as you’ve said have a small portion. Eat a low cal breakfast and lunch and do cardio for an hour a day (areobics, running,cross trainer). Squeeze in some press -ups and sit ups in the morning.

Mainly, you could walk or run, which are probably the best exercises to lose weight/body fat. You are probably more on a diet. You don’t Need to start a diet, but don’t eat too much of stuff.

eat about 6 small meals a day.
a small meal consisting of some vegies like a handful of spinach, and a yogurt and half a chicken breast

running is always good and free. run for 30 minutes. that doesnt mean go running and be gone for 30 minutes when 23 of them were you walking to catch your wind back

pushup and squats help build muscles that you would use every day, but you dont have to go crazy with those. situps or any kind of ab workout should be included. try to switch off what you work out, like one day do arms or upper body, the next try legs. and have an off day that you just do cardio like running or riding a bike

no no no dont listen to some of these people. eating no food at all is just as bad as over eating. try eating 5 or 6 small meals a day and watch your calories.eating 500 less a day will help you loose weight. start doing some pilates, or maybe jogging. go here caloriecount.about.com or sparkpeople.com they can help you alot.

I started the south beach diet on Friday and have already lost 11 pounds. However I”m sure that’s mostly water weight. I think if you do cardio 3 times a week and then lite weight training 2 days a week (alternate days) and stay away from any white flour, no pasta, white bread, sugar, potatoes, etc. Eat lean meats and vegis. Also my daughter became a vegetarian and lost like 20 pounds. Just make sure you don’t starve yourself because that will mess up your metabolism and you will have a hard time losing weight. Eat a lite snack like a fat free string cheese stick or jello pudding in between meals to keep your metabolism up. Also drink plenty of water. Ice water after a meal (I hear) will help you burn up more calories.Good luck

Absolutely I agree with doodisgu, do not skip meals. I use to thinking it would help me lose weight and all it did was mess up my metabolism, and now it’s been harder to lose weight

there are 3500 cal. in 1 lb of fat. you burn 121 jogging (at a1 mi in 11min pace) so if you work out for 1 hr a day… you can run about 4 mi. make sure to stretch before and after… say 10 min stretch before then 44 min. of running (4 mi at 11 min a mi pace) then 5 minutes of stretching… theres your 1 hr and you should burn 500+calories that hour! if you do that everyday… the benefits will be phenominal! thats 1 lb fat per week. (thats not including all the other weight you will lose) whatever you do. dont stop eating! your body neds those nutrients to survive. eat 4 small meals a day… something right when you get up. an apple an orange, a grapefruit? a bowl of low sugar cereal with skim or 2% milk. then a salad for lunch.. with nuts? something small to hold you over from lunch til dinner… then eat dinner. try not to eat anything after 6 pm. that way your body has time to digest it completely and use up those last few calories! :~} good luck! i am tryin to lose my last 20 from pregnancy. started last week. i am doing the same thing.. and i have already lost 5 lbs. just dont get discouraged if your weight plateaus for a while… you will get back on track
