i am extremely overweight (like 25-30 pounds overweight) and, consequently, i am very self consious. my whole family is gettting together for thanksgiving…and i really want to look amazing!! please…tell me EVERYTHING!! i want to lose about 20-25 pounds by thanksgiving!! i need tips on everything!! diet, exercise…all of it!

I would do Atkins till then, drink plenty of water, and exercise. Atkins is really criticisized, but I have lost alot of weight on it, and you dont need special foods…………

First of all, you really have some issues if you think that 25-30 lbs overweight is “extremely overweight”. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not healthy for you to be above the suggested the weight for your height, but 25-30 lbs is not “EXTREMELY”. Extremely overweight are the people who weigh 100 or more pounds overweight. You need to gain some confidence, girl! We all gain weight.

Now, that being said, the real answer is this: EAT RIGHT AND EXERCISE. Eat a lot of fresh fruit, vegetables, not a lot of carbs, cut down on sweets. EXERCISE- every day! The goal is really to be more healthy than it is to just weight X amount. Your family should love and be proud of you at any weight!

If you find you are eating a large amount of food when you eat, try drinking a couple glasses of water before each meal. This will fill your stomach somewhat, and then when you eat, the water will absorb the food and fill your stomach faster.

Portion control is important too. Eat no more than what you can fit in the palm of your hand. Also eat small amounts of food more frequently. Not large portions 3 times a day… Also.. Breakfast is important. Fruit and veggies ARE KEY.. Eat all the Fruits and Veggies you want.. Avoid junk food like chips, candy, donuts, etc.. eat fresh food.. eat lean chicken breat every night for dinner.

go for a walk after dinner. try to fit 30 to 45 min of excercise into you day. (walk, weights, you wont bulk up like a dude, dont worry, do anything that will make you sweat) If your hungry, but dont NEED to eat.. drink lots of water, brush your teeth, go for a walk.

hey guys shes trying to lose weight and i think we should all tell her how to and stop playing the game of your family will love you the way you are. she needs an answer not a lecture.

i would drink just water nothing else unless 100% orange juice
cut down big time on carbs.
stop laying around and exercise which is 4 miles a day of running. make sure when you work out it is in the earliest morning or 9 pm right after you work out.
