please help me im 15 years old and i weight 140 pounds. im trying to get down to atleast 115 pounds by next january. if i eat smaller portions, drink more water, eat less junk food, walk on the weekends for an hr, and i do 50 push ups and 50 squats daily will i losw weight???

Well here’s the thing, you’ve got to burn more grams of fat than you consume. So, negative calories.
To help this, make sure you drink plenty of water!
You can’t exercise just once a week, 3-5 times is healthy, but don’t over do it.
DO NOT cut all fat out of your diet!! Big mistake. It does nasty things to you like constipation, makes your skin scaly, your hair and nails go dull and your immune system starts to fail. Make sure you still eat good fats that come from nuts and fish. Don’t stop eating things like yogurt either just because they have a high fat content. They are super good for you. Same with fibre, keep that coming in too!

So yeah, don’t over do it, be committed, realise that chips and lollies are ok! Just eat them rarely and in small amounts! Don’t concentrate on eating only vegetables and fruits.

Er… yes, but you might lose too much weight. What you do is eat the same size portions, three times a day, and make sure that what you’re eating is healthy. Exercising is good, but I think what you were planning was a bit much… Straining your body is not a good idea! Try jogging around your block every morning while listening to music and drinking lots of water. If you have a bike, you could ride that to and from school.

Also, if you’re fifteen, if you’re average height, 140 pounds isn’t exactly overweight. In fact, it’s probably the ideal weight for your age in order to be healthy. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Brush it off your shoulders like dust falling from the ceiling and just… I dunno. Read a book. :)
